All Internally lubricated parts including but not limited to: balance shaft bearing, balance shaft bushing, balance shaft, cam followers, distributor drive gear, oil pump housing, rocker bushings, valve locks, valve retainers, valve seals, valve seats, cylinder barrels, eccentric shaft, camshaft and bearings, lifters, rocker arms, rocker shaft, timing gears, timing chain, pistons, piston rings and pins, connecting rods and bearings, crankshaft and main bearings, oil pump, pump gears and pickup screen, intake and exhaust valves, intake and exhaust valve springs/guides, push rods, valve springs. Dip stick tube, harmonic balancer, exhaust manifolds, engine torque strut, intake manifold, and timing belt (timing belt must be serviced according to Manufacturer’s recommended specifications). The engine block, cylinder head(s), valve cover(s), timing cover and oil pan are covered only if damaged by the above internally lubricated parts.

Transmission and Transfer Case

All internally lubricated parts of the manual or automatic transmission and transfer case (if 4WD/AWD surcharge is applied) including but not limited to: bushings, main shaft washers, oil pump, output shaft, drive chain gears, drive chain, shift bushing, torque converter, drum, planetaries, sun gear, shell, shafts, bearings, shift rails, bell housing, vacuum modulator, forks, synchronizers. Flywheel/flexplate, shift linkage, vacuum modulator, and transmission cooler. Any damage resulting from failures by related parts or units such as, but not limited to: cables, controls, coolers, drive axles/bearings and electronic components, levers, linkages, manual shift clutch components, radiator, rubber mounts, sensors and solenoids, shifter, viscous couplings, internal or external, to the engine and transmission are not covered. Transmission case is not covered.

Drive Axle

All internally lubricated parts of the differential (front and rear) including, but not limited to: bearings, bushings, ring and pinion, and washers. Universal joints, locking hubs and rings, axle shafts, constant velocity and double offset joints, drive shaft center bearings, propeller and shafts.

Air Conditioning

Compressor, compressor clutch, clutch bearing, compressor seals, receiver/drier, idler pulley, field coil, condenser, evaporator core, expansion valve, pressure cycling switch, accumulator, orifice tube, and inside ambient temperature sensor. (NOTE: Does not include evacuation or recharge.)

Cooling System

Water pump, thermostat, electric radiator fan motor and fan clutch, coolant recovery reservoir.

Electrical System

Alternator, starter motor, starter motor solenoid, voltage regulator, power window motors and regulators, horn, neutral safety switch, reverse indicator switch, turn signal switch, distributor, cruise control transducer, wiper motors and washer pumps, ignition igniter, ignition module, coil packs, power seat motors, crankshaft position sensor, EVP sensor, headlamp switch, heater/AC blower motor speed switch, ignition switch, ignition switch lock cylinder, knock sensor, stop lamp switch.

Fuel System

Electric fuel pump, fuel delivery pump, fuel injection pump, metal fuel delivery lines.


All internally lubricated parts of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts of the turbo/twin turbo/supercharger. The turbo/twin turbo/supercharger case is not covered.


All internally lubricated parts of manual and power steering gear housing. Internal parts of steering gear to include: control valves, internal oil control seals, bearings and shafts control valve and cylinder, rack and pinion, power cylinder. Power steering pump, internal tilt wheel mechanism, drag links, idler arm, pitman arm, steering column shafts and couplings, tie rod ends.

Seals and Gaskets

Intake manifold gaskets. All other seals and gaskets are covered only in conjunction with a COVERED REPAIR. Minor loss of fluid or seepage, as determined by the ADMINISTRATOR, is not considered a MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN and is not covered.


Master cylinder, wheel cylinders, power brake booster, ABS master cylinder, compensating valve, and disc brake calipers.


Leaf and coil springs (only if broken), spindles, stabilizer/sway bars, stabilizer/sway bar links.

Gold Enhanced Coverage (If Purchased)

The following parts are covered. Parts not specifically listed are not covered.


Seals and gaskets of covered components are covered on VEHICLES with up to 125,000 miles at the time of sale. Minor loss of fluid or seepage, as determined by the ADMINISTRATOR, is not considered a MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN and is not covered.


Radiator, heater core, heater control valve.


Fuel injectors, fuel sending unit, fuel tank.


Wheel bearings, hub assemblies, control arms, ball joints (BALL JOINTS ARE COVERED ONLY AFTER SIXTY (60) DAYS AND 2,000 MILES FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE).

Roadside Assistance and Rental Reimbursement are included with this plan.

Silver Coverage

For vehicles up to 20 years old with up to 225,000 miles

Engine, Water Pump Turbo/Supercharger

The following stated components are covered: All internal lubricated parts of engine, including pistons, piston rings, piston pins, crankshaft and main bearings, connecting rods and rod bearings, camshaft and camshaft bearings, timing chain and timing gears, intake and exhaust valves, valve springs, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, hydraulic lifters, rocker arm shafts and water pump up to an Aggregate total of $3,000.

Drive Axles (Front and Rear)

Drive axle housing and internal, lubricated components are covered up to an Aggregate total of $1,500: Carrier case, gear sets, bearings, bushings, axle shafts, constant velocity joints (except if boot was damaged, leaking or missing), front and rear wheel hub bearings, limited slip clutch pack, drive shafts, drive shaft center support bearing and universal joints.


The following stated components are covered up to an Aggregate total of $2,000: Internal lubricated parts of manual or automatic transmissions/transaxles, including, oil pump, drums, planetary, sun gear and shell, shaft(s), bearings, shift rail, forks, flywheels/flex plates, and synchronizers. Transmission/Transaxle case and torque converter are not covered unless damaged by an above listed, internal part.

Transfer Case

The following stated components are covered up to an Aggregate total of $1,500: Repair or replacement of internal, lubricated parts. Transfer case housing is not covered unless damaged by an above listed internal covered part.

Silver Plus Enhanced (If Purchased)

Air Conditioning

The following stated components are covered up to an Aggregate total of $1,000: AC Compressor, Pulley and Clutch


The following stated components are covered up to an Aggregate total of $1,500: Alternator and Starter, Power Window Motors and Window Regulators, Power Door Lock Actuators, Front and Rear Wiper Motors, Certain Engine Controllers and Sensors.

Other Conditions

Seals and gaskets, or any failure to any of the above listed covered assemblies, resulting from leaking, cracked, blown, or otherwise non-functioning seals or gaskets are excluded for coverage under this Agreement.

The maximum combined benefit allowed by this Agreement for all assemblies listed for coverage, including any Rental Reimbursement benefits, shall NOT exceed an Aggregate amount of nine-thousand, five hundred dollars ($9,500) towards the Repair, Replacement, or Reimbursement of any Approved, covered claim(s).

This Contract is non-cancellable once the Maximum Aggregate Benefit has been reached.

Roadside Assistance and Rental Reimbursement are included with this plan.

Ineligible Vehicles

Acura NSX, Rotary Engines, 4100 GM Engines, Dodge Stealth, Land Rover, Mitsubishi 3000GT, Nissan Z & ZX Series, Porsche 911, 928 or 930, Renault, Viper, all 10 & 12 Cylinder Engines, vehicles in excess of a 1Ͳton chassis.

Roadside Assistance Outline

Locked out of the car – Roadside assistance will provide a locksmith if such a service is deemed necessary. However, the Administrator for the Roadside Assistance must make all judgments as to the necessity of such services.
Flat Tire – the Roadside Assistance driver will change your spare tire or drive You to the nearest tire store for repairs.
Out of Fuel – the Roadside Assistance driver will bring 3 gallons of fuel to get You on Your way.
Dead Battery – the Roadside Assistance driver will jump start Your Vehicle.
Emergency Transportation – the Roadside Assistance driver will bring you up to 150 miles (when your vehicle is disabled).
Towing – Your vehicle will be towed to a destination of your choice up to 150 miles. In the event of a tow that is not preauthorized, you will be reimbursed up to $100 with approved receipts at the Roadside Assistance Administrator’s discretion. Auto Knight will authorize one (1) tow per disablement, and will NOT tow your vehicle from one repair facility to another.

Any reimbursement claim must be submitted within sixty (60) days of loss.

Rental Car Reimbursement Outline

In the event a Mechanical Breakdown of a Covered Component requires that Your Vehicle be kept by a repair facility, You may wish to rent a substitute vehicle. The substitute vehicle must be rented from a licensed rental agency. Reimbursement is valid only for actual and verifiable expenses incurred from the date of the covered Mechanical Breakdown until the date repairs are completed, and excludes any expense for mileage, gasoline, maintenance or insurance charges. Rental Vehicle Reimbursement will not exceed $180.00 per repair visit for the entire period required to complete repairs, subject to the schedule below. If repairs are delayed due to parts unavailability, which is confirmed by Obligor, You may receive reimbursement for up to 4 additional days of Rental Vehicle Reimbursement per repair visit (limited to $30 per day for a maximum of $120), provided a separate additional authorization is obtained from Obligor. Rental Reimbursement is separate from the Roadside Assistance listed above.
